WELCOME to the NFB of RI

The National Federation of the Blind is not an organization speaking for the blind, it is the blind speaking for themselves.

The NFB of Rhode Island is an affiliate of the National Federation of the Blind. With affiliates in all 50 states, plus Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, the NFB is the largest and most influential membership organization of blind people in the United States.

Affiliate Meetings

The NFB of RI meets on the second Saturday of each month, except for July. Also, October's meeting coincides with the annual state convention, which is usually held on the fourth Saturday.

Regular meetings run from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and they are preceded by a social hour. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in finding out more about the NFB to meet NFB of RI members in-person and get to know what we are all about.

For more information and to view minutes of previous meetings, visit our meeting minutes page.

Parents Division

Rhode Island Parents of Blind and Visually Impaired Children (RIPBVIC) is a group of concerned and dedicated parents working to insure the best possible education and services for our state's blind and visually impaired children.

For more information, please visit the RIPBVIC web site.
